Bio
Hannah Rachel Cole is a Lecturer on History & Literature at Harvard University. Previously, she served as a Postdoctoral Associate at Yale Environmental Humanities and the Yale Center for the Study of Race, Indigeneity, and Transnational Migration.
Her teaching and research interests include environmental humanities, Caribbean literature, and digital humanities. Currently, she is working on a book project focused on reading for plant life in Caribbean literature in the wake of plantation slavery. Her digital humanities project, Botanical Imaginaries, offers interactive maps of plant migration in Caribbean literary texts.
